Core Maintenance Guidelines for Screw Air Compressors

Maintenance intervals are influenced by the operating environment and the type of lubricant used. The following serves as a general reference standard:

**Initial Maintenance:** After a new unit has operated for 500 hours, replace the lubricant, oil filter, and air filter element.

**Air Filter Element:** Clean or replace every 500–2,000 hours; this interval should be shortened in harsh operating environments.

**Lubricant and Oil Filter:** Mineral-based lubricants should be replaced every 2,000 hours, while fully synthetic lubricants can last for 4,000–8,000 hours. The oil filter must be replaced concurrently with the lubricant.

**Oil-Gas Separator:** Replace every 3,000–4,000 hours, or immediately if the pressure differential across the separator exceeds 0.12 MPa.

**Safety Valve:** Submit the valve to a certified inspection agency for calibration at least once annually to ensure the effectiveness of the overpressure protection mechanism.
